This year’s primary elections, at least 65% of NYC voters were 50-years-old and older, according to AARP.
With the general election just weeks away, the organization’s New York director, Beth Finkel, joined “News All Day” to share more on this key voting block.
Finkel says the most important issues to seniors are social security, medicare benefits, drug prices, and the ability to receive care at home.
For those who want to vote by mail, especially people who have mobility issues, the deadline to request a ballot is Oct. 24.
Early voting starts on Oct. 29 and runs through Nov. 6.
Election day is Nov. 8.
