WCPS Announces Student Make-Up Days - Goldsboro Daily News

Last week, Wayne County Public Schools was closed for all students and staff on February 21st due to inclement weather. Wayne Early/Middle College High School and Wayne School of Engineering were also closed for students and it was an optional workday for staff on February 20th. After reviewing local options, district administrators developed the following make-up schedule for the district’s academic calendars:

  • Traditional Academic Calendar: The student make-up day will be March 27. This date was originally scheduled to be a Teacher Workday. Tuesday, June 16, is now a Teacher Workday for staff.
  • Non-Traditional Academic Calendars (GHS, WEMCHS, & WSE): The student make-up day will be March 6. This date was originally scheduled to be a Teacher Workday.  No additional student make-up day will be scheduled for Wayne Early/Middle College High School and Wayne School of Engineering. Monday, June 1, is now a Teacher Workday for staff.

Printable copies of the revised academic calendars are available on the district website at http://www.waynecountyschools.org/.
