SAGINAW, MI — A Saginaw woman has launched a makeup line that pays homage to people who inspire her.
Brittany Rosas shined in a glittery rose-gold gown as she welcomed friends and family to the recent debut of her makeup line, BrittRose Beauti, at the CMURC CoWork space in downtown Saginaw.
Customers found lipstick, beauty blenders, branded T-shirts and pop sockets and brush sets - all products that Rosas hopes are only the beginning of her makeup business.
Rosas said she saw a woman making highlighters on Instagram and the idea of creating her own makeup inspired her.

“It was overwhelming,” Rosas said. “I couldn’t sleep.”
Rosas began her journey by researching different products and ingredients. She examined the ingredients from a variety of high-end makeup to drugstore makeup.
In May, she began to think about creating her own makeup line and by October she started whipping up products in her home.
The first creations were a flop, Rosas said.
She tried again and eventually created five soft-matte liquid lipsticks. Rosas uses FDA-approved mica powder as a color additive for the lipsticks, she said.
“It’s a learning and growing experience,” Rosas said. “I want to continue to learn and grow and take in as much as I can.”
Rosas’ makeup line focuses on lipstick for now, but she has plans to expand it for a full-face experience.
Each of her lipsticks are named after a word that encourages Rosas or someone special to her: Sharrise, Coco, Humble, Doll and Boricua.

Her sister, Adaria Wilson, helped her to put the liquid contents into tubes and plan for the Feb. 22 unveiling event.
“She’s been so dedicated this whole time,” Wilson said.
She said she remembers seeing her sister come home from working 10-hour shifts and immediately start work on creating the makeup.
“She’s gotten me to get out of my comfort zone to see what I want to figure out with me and to get that same dedication and have the courage to promote yourself,” Wilson said.
Rosas said she credits her success to her friends and family. The makeup line has products that range in price from $5 to $25. Lipsticks are $15 a piece. Find BrittRose Beauti lipsticks here.
