If you swooned over Selena Gomez's Rolling Stone front cover before quickly asking yourself 'how does she get her skin looking that good?' then dear reader, you'll be pleased to know that we have the answer. Or rather, her make-up artist, Melissa Murdick does.

Revealing on Tik-Tok exactly how she created the barely-there beautiful glow, Murdick tells her followers that the inspo behind the look came from a ballerina and that she wanted to keep it 'pared down and super glowy'.

The one tip that we weren't expecting? It's all to do with where you place your blusher and as it turns out, it's actually a game-changer. Here's everything you need to know...

Explaining how she created the ethereal glow for Selena, Murdick uses the products on herself and starts with the Rare Beauty Illuminating Primer, revealing, 'I just applied all over the face then I'm going to use a really generous dose of the 4-in-1 Mist.'

She continues 'because we don't want the skin to look make-up-ey, but we want to get a little bit of evenness, all I'm using is the Rare Beauty Tinted Moisturiser just in the areas that really need coverage, but I'm not going to put a heavy thick coat on the skin.'

'To finish the skin, I applied a little bit of concealer under the eyes and then with the Rare Beauty Loose Powder in light, I'm only going to put a touch of powder just in the T-Zone and on the smile lines, just so it doesn't look greasy in the centre of the face but we keep the glow everywhere else.'

She adds, 'I normally over exaggerate Selena's brows just a little bit to extend them but for this look I used her Rare Beauty Brow Harmony Pencil to fill in any sparse areas, not filling in the whole brow. I also set the brow with the gel that's on the other end of the pencil so it looks nice and brushed up.'

When it comes to Selena's eyes, Murdick says 'to keep her eyes defined but not make it look like she's really wearing eye make-up, I curled her lashes first and then applied the thinest layer of Rare Beauty Mascara just to give almost a tint to the lashes but no build.'

She also hinted that the real secret to nailing this look is the flush. Now if you normally place your blusher on the apples of your cheeks and sweep upwards then this time around, throw that rule out the window because Murdick advises to rethink your blush application.

'So I mixed two [Rare Beauty] liquid blushes, one is Grateful, one is Faith, to create a realistic flushed colour. A flush in the cheek always has that blue-ish undertone and I kept the blush pretty low. So, starting at the mid cheek and actually bringing it down, which is where we turn red if we're working out or how you would see it on a ballerina or a little kid.'

Murdick then goes on to explain,' I took what's left on the brush and just very lightly hit above her eyes just to bring that tone together. I then placed a little of the Enlightened Highlighter down the centre of the nose and around the orbit of the eye just to keep that area nice and bright and glowy.'

Finally, she adds, 'then all I did was pop on a bit of the Rare Beauty Nearly Rose Glossy Lip Balm and then of course one more good dose of the 4-in-1 Mist.'

The video ends with Murdick comparing herself to the shot of Selena on the front cover, and wowza, when she says 'twinning' she's not joking.

So there we have it, a few really simple steps to create the ultimate 'no make-up, make-up' look. Now if you don't mind, we're off to buy the entire Rare range, stat.
