UL Sports Conferences looking at all options to make up for lost time Andrew Clay 8 - KATC Lafayette News

College football conferences are looking at all options to make up for lost spring practices. That is if the virus even lets them play football.

Thursday, LSU athletic director Scott Woodward called speculation that the season is cancelled premature.

For now, teams are planning for all options, and that includes how it will make up for lost time. Starting Monday, the SEC will allow teams to meat virtually and hold "chalk sessions" through video conferencing.

Questions about summer mini camps, or even extended fall camps have begun too. In his teleconference Thursday, Sun Belt commission Keith Gill wouldn't rule anything out.

"I think with regards to football, everything is on the table. That's why we will work with our coaches to see what they think makes most sense, and work with our health professionals to make sure we have the right acclimation periods, and things like that," Gill said.
