MADISON, Wis. -- Thursday marked the second day in a row students in the Madison Metropolitan School District were not in the classroom due to weather conditions.
"Really it was the ice that was most concerning to us," district spokesperson Tim LeMonds said of the decision to cancel classes. "Buses do not perform well on ice. When we get these icy conditions, we really listen to our transportation providers about what's best for our students' transport."
