Delish Recipes Are Now Shoppable on Instacart, And We Can't Contain Our Joy - Delish

Big news! Through our partnership with Instacart, you can now get all the ingredients you need for your favorite Delish recipes—delivered in as little as an hour. *Pause for applause.*

If you've never used Instacart before, let us tell you: It's a game changer. The service allows folks to shop from the grocers they love with just the click of a button (either from your computer or mobile device), saving them from hours of frantic pacing in crowded marketplaces. That leaves more time to cook up a favorite feast, and most importantly, more time to actually sit down and enjoy it.

Step 1

First thing's first: Select the Delish recipe you want to cook. (Don't worry, everything on the site is shoppable!) Scroll through the ingredients and click the “Shop With Instacart” button. Now, log into your Instacart account or enter your zip code to find delivery and pickup times for stores near you.

Step 2

You can either select all the ingredients the recipes calls for, or just select whatever you don't already have on hand. (Psst: You can swap out brands or packaging sizes depending on your preference.) Then add items to your cart. Need another ingredient for a different recipes? Add it now!

Step 3

After you’ve added all your ingredients, tap on the shopping cart to check out. Click "instructions" to give your shopper a heads up on any requests you may have. (Example: Not making our Mediterranean guacamole for a couple days? Ask for underripe avocados.) Then add your delivery address and payment info if you haven’t used Instacart before

Step 4

Next, select your delivery window. Depending on when you place your order, you may be able to get your groceries delivered within an hour on the same day. (Yes, really!) You can also choose a delivery window up to five days in advance. Select the two-hour delivery time frame that works best for you and place your order

Step 5

One last thing before you’re done: If an item you’ve selected is out of stock, you can choose a preferred replacement, let your shopper suggest one, or select “Refund item” to take the item off your list.

Check your order’s status at any time to see what items have already been scooped by your shopper and approve substitutions as they come up. Instacart will also notify you when your shopper checks out, as well as when they're nearing your home for delivery.

(Pro tip: You can make changes to your order right up until your shopper begins working on your list. You can even make last-minute requests in the chat function while shopping is in progress.)
