Duke Basketball's Atlantic Coast Conference schedule has been restored to full capacity after the league announced a make-up date for the game against Clemson on Friday evening.
The game between the Blue Devils and Tigers was originally scheduled to be played on December 29th, but was postponed due to COVID-19 issues within the Duke program.
The game will now be made-up and played on February 10th and will tip-off at 8 PM EST.
It is the second game to be rescheduled under the ACC’s modified 2021-22 COVID-19 Game Rescheduling Policy with the Notre Dame game from December 31st having been rescheduled to January 31st.
Given the rescheduled games, Duke's conference schedule has been ramped up in terms of difficulty. The game against Notre Dame will come on a Monday following a Saturday game against Louisville - both games are on the road.
The Clemson rescheduling is also an exercise in endurance as Duke will travel to North Carolina on Saturday, February 5th and then play at home two nights later against Virginia on February 7th.
Generally teams play twice per week during league play, but the COVID impact will have Duke then play on Thursday night at Clemson before the team flies to Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts for a game against Boston College on Saturday, February 12th, making for four games in a week's time.
Those quick turnarounds will test the endurance of the Blue Devils who have settled on a short rotation this season with six primary players and just two supplementary subs who each play only a few minutes per night. However, the rotation may deepen in the coming days as freshman starting scoring guard Trevor Keels suffered an injury last week against Florida State and is expected to miss at least Saturday's game against Syracuse with no word on the expected length of his absence.
Duke currently sits in fifth place in the ACC standings with a 4-2 conference mark. Both losses, to Miami and Florida State, have been close calls with the Blue Devils having a chance to win on the final possession, but failing to convert.
