Popular make-up artist, hairstylist fatally stabbed in Hanover | Loop Jamaica - Loop News Jamaica

A popular male make-up artist was stabbed to death during a dispute in Hopewell, Hanover on Saturday.

The deceased is 21-year-old Christopher Hibbert, popularly known as '1chrisbuzz' or 'Chris', of a Hopewell address.

He was also a hairstylist.

Reports from the Sandy Bay police are that about 5:45 pm on Saturday, Hibbert got into an altercation with a man, during which a knife was used by the man to stab Hibbert.

He was later pronounced dead at hospital.

The police have not disclosed if the alleged attacker was taken into custody, or revealed any presumed motive for the killing.

As news of Hibbert's death surfaced, some Instagram users expressed shock at his death, with the development being described as a "senseless" and "unbelievable" act.

Based on reports, Hibbert was killed at his business establishment.

"RIP Chris. See(ing) you today in blood had me weak," wrote a woman on Instagram.

"Rest in peace, Chris. My condolences to your family and friends. May your soul rest in peace. This is unbelievable," wrote another woman.

Another social media user shared: "Why we can't settle disputes without violence? Senseless man. RIP Chris, you were so jovial and full of love."
